Joyce Newman Swanner, age 78, of Cedartown passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on January 8, 1946 to the late William David Newman, Jr. and the late Lucy Juanita Schrimsher. Joyce worked as a property manager for South Hampton for more that 10 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her children, Reid Thompson (Amy), Matt Swanner, Myra Classen; grandchildren, Heather Varnado, Joey Smith, Jake Hayes, Matthew Swanner, Amber Swanner, Logan Swanner, Desiree Peek, Brianna Holcomb; great-grandchild, Caitlynn Casey; siblings, Larraine Bryant, Faye Buchanan, Harry Newman, Mike Newman, Jim Newman.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Campbell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
