Judith Ann
Martin
Apr 19, 1947 — Jul 7, 2025
Judith Ann Martin, born Boatright, of Bremen, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her deeply. Born on April 19, 1947, she was the beloved wife of John Martin and a devoted matriarch, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee Boatright Sr. and Elsie Pearl Boatright (née Halbrook); her daughter, Chavonne Burgess; her sons, Kirk Burgess and David Burgess; her brother, Robert Lee Boatright Jr.; and two stepchildren.
She dedicated much of her life to caring for others, having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Haralson Nursing & Rehab. Her compassion, resilience, and quiet strength left a lasting imprint on the hearts of all she encountered.
She is survived by her loving children:
Donald Collins (Temple, GA), Dale Collins (Florida), Tammy Glave (Alabama), Daryl Collins (Douglasville), April Stephens (Bremen), John Burgess (Waco), Angela Nicholas (Texas), Cynthia Collins (Bowdon), and Faye Miller (Texas).
Also surviving her are her dear siblings: Barbara Jean Kilpatrick (Maryland), Donna K. (Savannah), Richard Boatright (Canton), Jerry Mitchell (Savannah), and Manneul Boatright (Texas).
Affectionately known to most as "Momaw" or "Memaw," Judith was the proud grandmother of 37 grandchildren and many cherished great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit lives on through the generations she helped raise, each carrying a piece of her love and legacy.
Judith will be remembered for the fierce love she had for her family, the wisdom she shared, and the comforting presence she provided to all around her. She embodied what it meant to be the heart of a family, and her memory will forever be treasured.
