Mrs. Julia Eloise Smith Posey, 78 of Old Jacksonville Road, Buchanan passed away April 12, 2007 in Hartley Woods Health Facility in Macon. Mrs. Posey was born on February 7, 1929 in Elbert County, Georgia the daughter of the late Tinsley Odell Smith and Irene Hulme Smith. A retired Beautician and Member of Rehoboth Christian Center in Tallapoosa. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Howard "Buck" Posey and a daughter Linda Diane Thigpen. Survivors include a son, Dennis Rains of Buchanan and a granddaughter, Kerri Thigpen of Macon; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, April 14, 2007 between the hours of 4 & 8 PM. Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, April 15, 2007 at 2 Pm from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend Jimmy Sanders and Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating. Music will be furnished by Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta Georgia at 4 PM.
