June Sylvia Florence, age 81 of Douglasville, GA, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. She was born on June 17, 1935 in Douglasville, the daughter of the late Glenn Florence, Sr. and the late Bonnie Maxwell Florence. June worked as a Postal Carrier during her career with the U.S. Postal Service. She is survived by her husband, Timothy David Massey; children, Ronald Jerry Beard, Jr., Jeannie Beard, Dixie Clark and her husband Tommy, and Jeffery Douglas Beard; grandson, Caleb Zachery Johnson; sisters, Ann Ship, Sue Dollar and Nan Pledger; brother, Glenn Florence, Jr.Family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
