Obituary

Justin Lamar Jones, age 42, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1983, in Carrollton, Georgia, the son of Carlos Michael Jones and Vickie Sue Nixon Jones.

He was a man who truly loved life—spending as much time as he could in the great outdoors, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the people he cherished most. With a heart full of love for his family and a knack for building just about anything from wood, he poured his creativity and care into everything he touched. Whether crafting a piece of furniture, sharing a laugh around a campfire, or offering a helping hand, he brought warmth and strength to those around him. He was a devoted son, a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, a loyal brother, and a friend you could always count on. His legacy of love, craftsmanship, and joyful living will live on in all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by his loving wife, Summer Nicole Gaines Jones; his children, Gabriel Jones, Cidney Jones, and Emily and Tyler Mowery; sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Greg Yearta; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam Jones, Tommy Jones, Michael Paul and Brandi Jones, Kenneth and Nikki Jones, David and Ashley Jones, and Steven Jones; grandchildren, Jenson Mowery, Carter Young, Cylas Cochran, and Elijah Cochran; paternal grandmother, Naomi James.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dolly and Buford Nixon, and paternal grandfather, Carlos Ralph Jones.
