Karen Ann (Tish) Philhower of Bremen passed away suddenly Monday, January 12, 2015 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born in Goshen, New York, September 9, 1948, daughter of Audrey Griffin and the late Walter Holbert. She retired in October from Belk's where she worked in the jewelry department. Survivors include her husband, George Philhower of Bremen; children, George W. and Teresa Philhower of Temple, Kimberly Faith and Mitchell McMahan of Mississippi, Duane (D.J.) James and Denise Philhower of Temple; mother, Audrey Griffin of Maybrook, NY; sister, Patti Horner of NY; brothers, James and Sandy Price, North Carolina, Kenneth and Joan Price of Florida; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. A memorial service will be Thursday, January 15 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Duane McManus officiating. Denise Philhower and Patti Horner will be speaking. Funeral Services will be held at Gridley-Horan Funeral Home in Walden, New York on Tuesday, January 20 and Interment will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
