Keith DeWayne Vaughn, age 58, of Tallapoosa, passed away on October 8, 2026. He was born on December 24, 1967 in East Point, Georgia the son of William "Billy" Edward Vaughn and Mary Ann 'May' Smith and Ronnie Wayne Smith. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karin Faye 'Wall' Vaughn.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Daniel Vaughn, Nathan and Katie Vaughn, Christopher and Emily Vaughn, and Sarah and Jayden Walker; grandchildren, Issac Vaughn, Lyric Vaughn, Allie Vaughn, Evelyn Vaughn, Theodore Vaughn, Maverick Walker, Rhett Vaughn, and Asher Walker; brothers, Jeff Vaughn and Eric Vaughn; and sister, Jennie and Chris Risley.

Keith proudly and selflessly served his country with the Army before moving on to the National Guard. He worked as a State Officer for the Georgia Department of Public Safety before moving on to the Federal DOT as an Investigator. He attended Covenant Life Church.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hightower Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 2 PM from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend John Butler officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Vaughn, Daniel Vaughn, Christopher Vaughn, Jeff Vaughn, Eric Vaughn, and Carey Moody.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
