Larry Joseph
Raburn
Sep 25, 1961 — Jun 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Joseph Raburn, who passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born on September 25, 1961, in Carroll County, Georgia, Larry was a lifelong resident of West Georgia. He attended Carrollton High School. Larry spent many years working as a truck driver with Wilson Trucking, where he was known for being dependable, hardworking, and dedicated to providing for his family.
Larry enjoyed the simple things in life. He was a loyal Georgia Tech fan and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Whether it was a short ride through the countryside or time spent on the open road, riding brought him a sense of freedom and happiness that those closest to him knew well.
More than anything else, Larry loved his family. His grandchildren, Chloe, Bryson, C.J., Annabelle, Anslee, and Denney, were the pride and joy of his life. He never passed up an opportunity to spend time with them, and some of his happiest moments were simply being "Pawpaw." They brought him endless joy, and the memories they shared will be treasured forever.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jane Huddleston Raburn; his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Andrea Raburn; his daughter and son-in-law, Christy and Michael Hutcheson; his grandchildren, Chloe Hudgens, Bryson Hudgens, C.J. Hudgens, Annabelle Hudgens, Anslee Hutchens, and Denney Raburn; his mother, Pauline Bryson; and his sisters, Lisa Rayburn and Stephanie Hobbs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Joseph Rayburn.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Carroll Memory Gardens.
Larry will be remembered as a hardworking man who loved his family, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and never missed a chance to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
