Larry Glenn
Warren
Sep 23, 1943 — Jun 26, 2026
Larry Glenn Warren, age 82, of Whitesburg, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2026.
A lifelong resident of the Clem and Whitesburg communities, Larry lived a life defined by hard work, humility, and devotion to those he loved. When his country called, he answered with honor, proudly serving in the United States Army. Following his military service, Larry dedicated many years to Brown Steel, where he helped manufacture water tanks until his well-earned retirement. His strong work ethic and quiet dependability were hallmarks of his character throughout his life.
Larry found his greatest joy in life's simple blessings. He loved tending to his garden, spending peaceful days fishing, and making memories with his family. Nothing brought him greater happiness than time spent with his grandsons and his two precious great-granddaughters. His gentle presence, steady guidance, and unconditional love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A faithful follower of Christ, Larry was a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Moore Warren; his mother, Ruby Chambers Warren; his father and stepmother, Albert and Della Warren; and his brothers, Milton Warren, Travis Warren, and Verlin Warren.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Steve Smith; his grandsons, William Smith and his wife, Emily, Cody Smith and his wife, Addison, and Brian Smith; his cherished great-granddaughters, Cara Brooke Smith and Ada Grace Smith; his brother, Doyal Warren; his niece, Melissa Buchanan; along with numerous extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Alvin Hunnicutt and Rev. Matt Moore officiating. Music will be rendered by Mrs. Judy Hunnicutt. Interment will follow at Carroll Memory Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers will be William Smith, Cody Smith, Brian Smith, Mike Thornton, Dennis Buchanan, and Seth Arnell.
Though Larry's earthly work is complete, the legacy he leaves behind lives on in the family he loved, the community he faithfully called home, and the many lives he touched through his kindness, integrity, and quiet strength.
