Leesa Ward Rushing, age 70, of Fairplay, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026. Born on April 18, 1956, in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Velmon E. Ward and the late Bertha Coy Ward.

She is survived by her children, Heidi & Jeremy Perry and John Ross & Rose Rushing; her sisters and brother-in-law, Lynda Camp and Brandi & Chris Huddleston; her brothers and sister-in-law, Randy & Marian Ward and Rodney Ward; her grandchildren, Brody & Crystal Perry, Payton & Maddi Perry, Coda & Kylie Perry, Skyla Perry, Dink Rushing, Raven Amerson, and Gage & Kamryn Amerson; and her two great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will cherish her memory.

In accordance with Leesa's wishes, her body will be cremated, and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
