Mr. Lewis Gipson Holt, age 81, of Golf Course Road, Halifax, Virginia, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011. He was born January 6, 1930 in Birmingham, Alabama, the son of the late Carl and Dorothy Holt. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Sherry Neighbors Holt, grandson Joey Holt, brother Jack Holt, and sister and brother-in-law JoEllen and Bob McDowell. Survivors include children, Anita Holt Saxon of South Boston, VA, Jim Holt of South Boston, VA, Chuck Holt and Jenn Billbrough of Fort Washington, MD, and Amy and Amar Parikh of Halifax, VA; brother and sister-in-law Charles and Margie Holt of Pensacola, FL; sisters-in-law Sandra McCurry and Linda Our of Tampa, FL; Grandchildren, Elaina and Timothy Howell of Bel Air, MD, Christina Holt of College Station, TX, Matthew Saxon of Ranburne, AL, Beth Saxon of Carrollton, GA, Jamie Holt of Georgetown, TX, MitchellSaxon of South Boston, VA, C.J. Holt of Georgetown, TX, Hannah Holt of Carrollton, GA, Andrew Parikhof Halifax, VA, Anjalee Parikh of Halifax, VA; Great-grandchildren, Abby Howell of Bel Air, MD, Holton Howell of Bel Air, MD, Charlee Tolbert-Saxon, Carrollton, GA; Extended Family, Lynn and Taylor Brown of Ranburne, AL, Barry Saxon of Ranburne, AL, Cherie Holt of Carrollton, GA, Meena "Dadi" Parikh of Halifax, VA. Visitation will be held at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel in Carrollton, GA on Thursday March 10, 2011 between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Funeral services and entombment at Carroll Memory Gardens will be held on Friday March 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM.
