Linda Swafford
Bowen
Jul 10, 1949 — Jul 22, 2026
Mrs. Linda Swafford Bowen, 77, of Roanoke, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Tanner Medical Center.
Born on July 10, 1949, in Monroe, North Carolina, Linda lived a life centered on family, simple joys, and unwavering love for those closest to her. She retired from Monroe Hardware after 15 years of dedicated service, where she was known as a dependable and friendly clerk who enjoyed serving her community.
At home, Linda found happiness in life's little pleasures. She adored her beloved dogs, Toby and Sissy, and was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs. Whether cheering on the Dawgs or spending time with the people she loved most, Linda treasured every moment shared with family and friends.
More than anything, Linda will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her kind heart, quiet strength, and steadfast love created a lasting legacy that will continue through the generations of her family.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Janet Robinson; her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and George Kalcheff; her sisters, Margo Helms and Karen Helms; her four grandchildren, Blake Robinson, Bobby Robinson, Tricia Kalcheff-Smith , and Caroline Kalcheff; her great-grandson, Roman Paige; along with many other extended family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Linda's love, warmth, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but the memories she leaves behind will remain a source of comfort and strength for those who loved her.
In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated, and there are no services scheduled at this time.
