Obituary

Mrs. Linda Pate Walker, age 84, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was born on December 11, 1941, in Randolph County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Willie Pate and Becky Waldrep Pate. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Wilson Walker; her son, Tim Walker; and her granddaughter, Bethany Walker.

Linda's greatest joy and life's work was her family. As a devoted homemaker, she poured her heart into raising her five children and creating a home where they were loved, cared for, and always knew they belonged. Her days were shaped by the countless acts of love that come with motherhood: meals prepared, clothes washed, worries carried, encouragement given, and the steady presence of a mother devoted to the people she loved most.

Together, Linda and George built a life centered around their family. Through the years, the family they began grew to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren, giving Linda even more people to love. She treasured being a mother and grandmother, and her legacy lives on in the generations of her family shaped by her care and devotion.

Linda was a Christian, and her faith was an important part of her life. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family and for the quiet, meaningful ways she cared for those around her. While her family grieves her passing, they are grateful for a lifetime of memories and find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with George, Tim, and those she loved who went before her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Terry & Mary Walker, Ricky & Deirdre Walker, Christie & Paul Williams, and Christopher Walker; grandchildren, Craig, Chasity, Dusty, Cody, Lindsay, Nolan, Landon, and Logan; great-grandchildren, Cade and James; along with other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Bro. Michael White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
