Linnie Mae Reid Copeland of Bremen passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 in a local health facility. She was born in Fruithurst, AL, September 18, 1922, daughter of the late Bennie Waldrop and Della Ovella Garner Popham. Mrs. Copeland was a retiree of the Cluett Peabody Company and a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bowdon Junction. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Jefferson Reid and second husband, Henderson Copeland; a brother, Clarence Waldrop and a sister, Winnie Mae Waldrop. Survivors include her children, Jerry and Diane Reid of Carrollton; Judy and Jerome Biggers of Bremen and Jackie Reid of Bremen; (5) grandchildren, (12) great grandchildren and (3) great, great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Wednesday, April 17 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Haney and Reverend Anthony Puckett officiating. Music will be furnished by Reverend Mark Haney accompanied by Maxine House. The following church deacons will serve as pallbearers, John A. Cramer, John R. Cramer, Joe Gramling, Shelley Sweatt, Marvin Morris and Victor Folds Interment will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.
