Lisa Janette Akins Childress, age 54 of Temple, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 3, 1972 in Newnan, Georgia, daughter of the late Foster Lee Akins and Margie Frances Satterfield. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Childress; and a sister, Christie Satterfield.

Left to cherish her memory include her significant other, Robert Moore; daughters, Angela Frances (D.J.) Padgett and Kimberly Childress; and step daughter, Christie (Kenneth) Flannagan; sister, Sherry Barber; step brother, Foster Lee Akins, Jr; and her precious grandchildren Patrick Bleu Holland and Walker Padgett; and a step grandson, Melvin Flannagan.

Lisa was an avid Alabama fan screaming, "Roll Tide" every chance she got. Her greatest loves in life were her family, her grandsons, and her dogs. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be conducted Sunday, October 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. Hunter Roe officiating.
