Obituary

Mrs. Louise Alma Denotter, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on July 15, 1932, in Warrington, Florida, Louise grew up in Warrington, the daughter of Samuel and Alma Strother.

She was a devoted retail clerk at Kmart, where her warmth and dedication to service created lasting connections with customers and colleagues alike. Even after her retirement, her passion for nurturing and caring for others shone brightly through her love for gardening, particularly her cherished roses, which never failed to bloom with the same vibrancy she brought to life.

As a steadfast member of Ephesus Baptist Church in Douglasville, Louise's faith formed the foundation of her life. Her faith, coupled with her deep love for her family, defined her. Louise was a remarkable woman whose strength and independence shaped the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her children, Debra Brown, Don Denotter, and Diane Joyner; her grandchildren, Kippie Lipham, Gary Brown, Jenny Joyner-Demirdas, Allison Joyner, Rebecca Denotter, and Jonathon Denotte; and a number of great-grand children. Louise took immense joy in her role as a matriarch, passing down her resilient spirit to the next generations.

In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Denotter.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hamblen Memory Gardens & Mausoleum, 5421 E Andrew Johnson Hwy, Morristown, TN 37814.

In this time of sorrow, we reflect on the incredible legacy Louise leaves behind, a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and adored her.
