Mrs. Louise Helton Verner, 97 of Roy Brown Road, Buchanan passed away November 23, 2008. Mrs. Verner was born on January 12, 1911 in Haralson County, Georgia the daughter of the late Louis Helton and Susan Henry Helton. A retiree of The Arrow Company and member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Verner, a son, Eugene Verner and a brother Hoyt Helton. Survivors include children, Mrs. Bobbie Sue Roberts of Tallapoosa, Mrs. Ola Lee Blanks of Bremen and Pat & Vance Posey of Buchanan; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at 11 am from The Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Reverend Randy Rooks officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Kersha Cartwright. Jim Booth, Tyler Booth, Jared Ayers, Scott Roberts, Jr., Billy Codner and Bill Codner will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.
