L.T. Vaughn, 87, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026. He was born on February 17, 1939 in Fort Payne, Alabama to the late Wallace Amos Vaughn and the late Willie Mae Wilburn Vaughn. L.T. was a mechanic for Ryder Logistics for many years.

L.T. is survived by his children, Robert Vaughn (Teresa Lynn) and Mitchell Vaughn; sister, Ophelia Crockett; brother, Wallace Vaughn; grandchildren, Matthew Vaughn (Brittany), Kevin Vaughn (Summer), Jennifer Perkins (Ralph Dobrovolny); great grandchildren, Wyatt Vaughn, Cameron Vaughn, Harper Vaughn.

L.T. is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Winifred Claire Gunter Vaughn; son, John Lawrence Vaughn; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Vaughn; brother, Horris Vaughn; sister, Louise Wilson

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Hightower's Memorial Chapel. The graveside service will be held on April 21, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Sunrise Memorial Gardens with Brother Todd Gunter officiating.
