Malcom "Mac" Jones
Morgan
Sep 24, 1951 — Apr 12, 2026
Malcom "Mac" Jones Morgan, 74, passed away on April 12, 2026 after bravely fighting cancer, surrounded by the love of his family.
Mac was born on September 24, 1951. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Jones Morgan and Hubert Ray Morgan.
Mac was a skilled carpenter for most of his life, following in the footsteps of his father. He took great pride in his work and the craftsmanship he brought to everything he built. He also proudly served in the National Guard.
Mac was a truly selfless man. He once donated a kidney to his father, and years later, he temporarily left his wife in Georgia to return to North Carolina to care for his mother as she battled dementia. These acts speak volumes about the kind of man Mac truly was—devoted, compassionate, and always putting others before himself.
He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Dondra Jameson Morgan.
He is also survived by his loving family, including his three siblings: his sister, Beth Braxton of Rocky Mount and her husband, Danny; his brother, Charles Morgan of Fort Mill, South Carolina, and his wife, Connie; and his brother, Gerald Morgan of Statesville, and his wife, Kendra.
Mac also leaves behind two children: his son, Mac Morgan of Macclesfield and his wife, Shannon; and his daughter, Stacy Morgan of Kenly, North Carolina, and her fiancé, BJ.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dillon, Chase, and Brett Webb; and Bryson, Kayleigh, and Ava Morgan.
Mac will be remembered for his hard work, dedication to his family, and the legacy he built with his hands and his heart. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heart of Hospice, and especially to Kristi, for the compassionate care, comfort, and support shown to Mac during his final days. Your kindness and dedication will always be remembered.
Honoring Mac's wishes, there will be no services.
