Margaret A. Puckett, age 73 of Roopville, passed away December 21, 2019. She was born July 09, 1946 in Carroll County, Georgia, daughter of the late Clarence Emmitt Swanger and Katie Mae Carr Swanger. She attended Troup High School, attended Atlanta Area Tech for Private Investigator classes and received an Associates Degree in Paralegal from Atlanta Technical College. She worked as a waitress, property manager, Private investigator, Cake Baker, and she and her sister made and sold custom made Western Shirts. She was woman of many talents. She also enjoyed many things including going to and having yard sales, reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, playing games on IPad, Bingo, and playing slot machines. Prior to her failed health, she really enjoyed family gatherings and decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. She really done it up big! In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Greg Thomas. She is survived by her husband, James Puckett of Roopville; her children, Jamie Puckett (Samantha Goodwin) of Carrollton, Jody Puckett (Karina) of Carrollton, Jessica Lindsey of Carrollton, Barbara Cavender of Atlanta, Belinda Jackson-Hill of Atlanta, and Brandie Walters of Atlanta; twenty grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. Memorial service will be conducted Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.
