Marjorie Chance McCain, age 89 of Bremen, passed away at her home on Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born December 31, 1934 in Bremen, daughter of the late James Emery and Audi Lee Chance. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Duma "Buck" McCain; and sister, Jeannette Entrekin.

Survivors include her children, Rebecca (Mark) Reeves of Whitesburg, Georgia and Mark Anthony (Barbara) McCain of Sandy Springs, South Carolina; sister, Gail (Keith) Weatherly of Manteo, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jessica Leigh McCain, Scott (Lisa) Weatherly, and Jamie (Christen) Weatherly; great grandchildren, Carter Weatherly, Emma Weatherly and Mackenzie Weatherly.

Special thanks to her friends and caregivers; Janet Tomlinson, Karen Hutzell, Destiny Collins, Shanna Borden, Donna Harris and Bobby Bonner.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Services will be Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Dr. J. Howard Mills, Dr. Stanley McCain and Ms. Donna Harris officiating. Garland Robinson, Scott Weatherly, Jamie Weatherly, Randy Jackson, Michael Murray, Reiken Haynes, Richard McCain, Hiram Hurt, and Valerie McCain Campbell will serve as pallbearers.

Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
