Marlene
Hogan
Oct 4, 1938 — Dec 23, 2024
Marlene Hogan, age 86, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 23, 2024. She was born on October 4, 1938, to Callaway Smith Norman and Leona Bivins Norman, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Marlene dedicated a significant part of her career to Walmart, where she worked in the fabric department. Her creative spirit shone through in her love for reading and engaging in various arts and crafts projects, which brought her immense joy and allowed her to express her artistic talents.
A devout Baptist, Marlene held her faith close to her heart. Above all, she was a loving wife, nurturing mother, and doting grandmother, always putting her family first and cherishing the moments spent with them. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her parents, she was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Frank Woodrow Hogan; her sons, Frank Norman Hogan and Donald Ray Hogan; and her brothers, John Norman, Garris Norman, and Austin Norman.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Ellen Hogan; her grandchildren, Dustin and Christy Hogan, Casi Hogan, Jennifer and Justin Blocker, Rob Hogan, Nathan Hogan, Ronnie Thrasher, Paul Bulloch Jr., Ginny Dunn, Kevin Lane, and Kristy and Ryan Skinner; her great-grandchildren, Frank Hogan, Leigh Anna Hogan, Jacob Blocker, Amelia Blocker, Chase Hogan, Caden Hogan, Waylon Hogan, Kaiya Dunn, Emma Skinner, Will Skinner, and Amy Skinner; and her faithful watchdog, Nellie.
A funeral service will honor and celebrate Mrs. Marlene's life on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Jiles officiating. Interment will follow in the Temperance Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from noon until the hour of service.
