Martha Dunaway Nichols of Dover, Florida formerly of Bremen passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015. She was born in Polk County, April 20, 1919, daughter of the late Jesse Dunaway and Fannie Carmichael Dunaway. Mrs. Nichols retired from the Hubbard Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Bremen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Nichols and four brothers, J. W. Dunaway, Bobby Dunaway, Forest Dunaway and Joe Dunaway. Survivors include her daughter and companion, Georgia Martell and Bill Waltz of Dover, FL; a grandson, Frank Gatto of Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Cannon and Peggy Dunaway of Temple and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00 until 6:00 PM. Services will be Saturday, January 24 at 11:00 AM from the Bremen First Baptist Church with Brother Herman Parker officiating. Craig Solberg, Bob Hurst, Bill Sewell, Randy Pate, Troy Thompson and Scotty Long will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial park.
