Mary Carolyn Wood, age 85, of Douglasville passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She was born on March 1, 1941 in Douglasville, Georgia, daughter of the late Arlin Jackson Lanier and the late Frances Emma Gable Lanier. Mary was retired from Tee Pack with more than 10 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Quehl (Malcolm); grandchildren, Ethan Quehl, Reese Quehl, Jeffery Wood; great-grandchild, Ezra Quehl.

In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Doyce Wood; son, James "Jimbo" Douglas Wood.

The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 15, 2026 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm in the chapel at the funeral home with Minister Mike Mallory officiating.

Interment will be at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
