Mathew Stephen
Dunbar
Dec 23, 1984 — Jun 12, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mathew Stephen Dunbar, who left us on June 12, 2026, at the young age of 41. Born on December 23, 1984, in Atlanta, Georgia, Mathew was a beacon of joy and laughter to those who knew him. Raised in a loving family, he cherished his time with his mother, Doris Carroll Bearden; sister, Sarah Charles; and his beloved twin brother, Michael Dunbar.
Mathew was known for his passion for life. As a warehouse manager at Silikal America in Carrollton, Georgia, he brought dedication and commitment to his work. Outside the workplace, he loved to unwind with video games, where he could lose himself in new worlds. He reveled in the melodies of music of all genres, but found joy in playing the guitar to the old rock and roll songs. Whether it was strumming his guitar or cheering on his favorite baseball team, Mathew found joy in the little things, sharing countless moments of happiness with his family and friends.
Mathew is survived by his mother, Doris Bearden; his sister, Sarah Charles; and his twin brother, Michael Dunbar. He also leaves behind his two nephews, three nieces, and one great-niece who will miss him immensely.
In honoring Mathew's life and spirit, his family will host a Celebration of Life on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the Roopville Elementary School Baseball Field. All who loved him are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and memories, reminding us of the light that Mathew brought into our lives.
Mathew will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the deep love for his family. Though he has left this world too soon, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew him.
Rest peacefully, Mathew. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
