Mrs. Mattie Lou Nolen, age 97, of Oak Grove Church Rd., Carrollton, Georgia passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008. She was born December 10, 1910 in Carroll County, Georgia to the late Eula Howard Folds and Bob Folds. Mrs. Nolen was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church in Roopville, Ga. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Colbert Nolen; a daughter, Frankie Joyce Nolen and a grandson, Gregory Mark Moon. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Doug & Sandra Nolen of Franklin and Jeanette & Frank Moon of Roopville; a sister, Abilene Rooks of Carrollton; two sisters in law, Flora Folds and Mildred Folds both of Carrollton; also 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great, great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Anthony Puckett, Rev. T.L. Stephens and Rev. Jimmy Bryan officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Milam, Mike Lavoie, Terry Moon, Tim Moon, Tyler Moon and Aaron Moon. Interment will follow in Goshen Southern Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery.
