Obituary

Mr. Michael Anthony Huckeba, a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, at the age of 62. Born on November 22, 1963, in Carrollton, Georgia, to the late Hugh Lee Huckeba Sr. and Billie Joyce Hornsby Huckeba.

Michael dedicated forty-five years of service to the Carroll County Livestock Barn as a livestock sorter, where he was known for his hardworking spirit and unwavering commitment to his work. He took great pride in his occupation, and it was there that he formed friendships that enhanced his life and those around him.

As a family man, Michael's love for his wife of twenty-eight years, Debbie, and their three sons, Chris, Mike, and Tim, was evident in everything he did. His face would light up with joy as he supported his grandchildren: Jack, Griffin, and Hudson, at their sporting events, sharing in their triumphs, and cheering from the sidelines with pride. Michael's passion for life extended beyond his family interests, as he was an avid fan of westerns and sports, always ready to discuss the latest game or movie.

A steadfast member of Journey Fellowship, Michael served Jesus with sincerity and devotion, embodying the spirit of kindness and compassion. His warm heart and gentle nature touched the lives of many, and he will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah "Debbie" Huckeba; his sons, Chris Gable, Mike Gable (Carrie), and Tim Gable; his grandsons, Jack Gable, Griffin Gable, and Hudson Gable; and his brother, Junior Huckeba; along with numerous extended family members.

In celebration of his life, a memorial service will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home at 3:00 PM, with Rev. John Lemmings and Rev. Josh Walley officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.

We invite all who knew and loved Michael to join us in honoring his memory and reflecting on the joy he brought into our lives.
