Obituary

Michael Wayne Laymon, 58, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025. He was born on December 18, 1966, in Mableton, Georgia, the son of the late Larry Wayne Laymon and Joyce Elaine Jolley Laymon.

Mike had a deep-seated passion for riding motorcycles, embarking on thrilling journeys that took him to 42 of the 50 states aboard his cherished Harley-Davidson. His adventures on the open road were a source of joy and freedom, allowing him to explore diverse landscapes and meet countless fellow motorcycle enthusiasts.

In addition to his love for motorcycling, Mike was dedicated to giving back to his community through recreational sports. He took on the role of umpire for various youth leagues, ensuring fair play while instilling a sense of sportsmanship in young athletes. This involvement not only allowed him to contribute to the community but also provided cherished moments spent with his sons as they shared in the excitement of the games.

More than anything, Mike was a devoted family man. He cherished his role as a loyal brother, supporting his brothers through life's ups and downs. As a dedicated father, he made countless memories with his two sons, nurturing their passions and interests. As a loving grandfather, he enjoyed every moment spent with his grandson, creating a legacy of love and warmth. His absence will be profoundly felt by all who knew him, as he leaves behind a lasting impact on both his family and the community.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Forrest & Mary Laymon, and maternal grandparents, Clyde & Bertie Jolley.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sons & daughter-in-law, Jared & Devin Laymon and David Laymon; grandson, Broc Laymon; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jeffery & Jeanine Laymon and Gregory & Jamie Laymon; nephews, Tyler Laymon and Andrew Laymon; and niece, Elizabeth Laymon.

In accordance with Mike's wishes, his body will be cremated.
