Michael Sheldon Wargo, 53, passed away on September 24, 2025, in St. Clair County, Illinois. Born on October 5, 1971, in Augusta, Georgia, Michael lived a life defined most by the love he had for his children and family.

Though life brought its share of challenges, Michael's greatest joy came from being a father. He was endlessly proud of his children, Joseph, Kalli, and Aubrey, and he cherished every moment he spent with them. Earlier in life, Michael was a successful area sales manager and was known by many for his natural ability to connect with people. He was also a talented drummer, and music remained a source of joy and expression throughout his life. Those who knew Michael will remember his sense of humor, his caring heart, and the deep love he carried for those closest to him.

He leaves behind his mother, Connie Ruth Bentley; his father, Mike Richard Wargo, and his wife, Faye; his children, Joseph Samaltanos Wargo, Kalli Wargo Holder, and Aubrey Wargo; and his sisters, Tonya Ledbetter and her wife, Melissa Ledbetter, and Misty Nichols and her husband, Josh Nichols.

Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Tawny Wargo.

In keeping with Michael's wishes, his body will be cremated, following a private family viewing. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to honor Michael's memory by sharing a kind word, a story, or a prayer for his family.
