Mrs. Minnie Lee Gray, age 95, of Whooping Creek Church Rd., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Sunday, September 30, 2007. She was born August 21, 1912 in Carroll County, Georgia, to the late Beulah Harris Samples and Lemuel Lee "Lem" Samples. Mrs. Gray was a retired looper operator having worked for Lawler Hosiery Mill and was the oldest living member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper B. Gray; a brother, Rufus Samples and a son, Marion Jasper Gray. Survivors include her children and their spouses, David & Wanda Gray, Judy & Jack Joyner, and Jo Burson all of Carrollton; six grand children, Chris Gray, Jeff Gray, Mark Joyner, Debbie Lovvorn, Scott Burson and Lynn Dixon; also 11 great grand children and 2 great great grand children. Funeral services will conducted Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Brother Doug New and Brother Shane Roberson officiating. Pall bearers will be Scott Burson, Mark Joyner, Chris Gray, Jeff Gray, Tony Lovvorn and Wesley Lovvorn. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.
