Nancy Joyce McEver Freeman, age 77 of Carrollton, passed away early Saturday morning July 05, 2014 at Carrollton Manor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Doyle Freeman. She was born December 24, 1936 in Thomasville, North Carolina to the late Marion Riley McEver and Corrine Bessie Bray McEver. She retired from Southwire Company after having worked in the office personal inventory department for 25 years. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Adriene North of Carrollton and Nanette and Earl Burnett of Charlotte, NC; sister, Lois Segars of Allen, TX; brother and sister in law, John and Angela McEver of Commerce, GA; grandchildren, Kaila and Kiel Mashburn, Kelli and Blake Robinson, and Dyllan Williamson; great grandson, Gunner Robinson; and number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, July 08, 2014 at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Pastor Eric Marston officiating. Entombment will follow in Carroll Memory Garden Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Monday, July 07, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel.
