Mr. Oliver Duell Shepard ,Jr., age 73, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at a local health care facility. He was born on May 22, 1951, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his late parents, Oliver Duell Shepard, Sr. and Dorothy Sue Goldin Shepard. His only brother, Ronald David Shepard, also preceded him in death.

Survivors include numerous cousins and those many individuals who supported him throughout his life. A special thank you goes to the nurses and medical and support staff at Haralson Nursing and Rehab Center, where Oliver lived many years. Their support, medical attention and love carried him through those years of his life.

Oliver faced many challenges over his lifetime, but he faced them with hope, and he usually had a smile for everyone he met. He will be missed by all who knew him.

According to his wishes, Oliver is being cremated. Interment will be at the Zion Church Cemetery in Paulding County. No services are planned at this time.
