Orin K. Campbell of Virginia Road, Draketown, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in a Rome hospital. He was born in Paulding County, January 18, 1923, son of the late Wiley S. Campbell and Dovie Gambel Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a retired electrical development mechanic with Lockheed Corporation and a member of the Corinth Baptist Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Pace; brothers, Elvin, Herron, Frank, Wiley and Homer Campbell. Survivors include wife of 65 years, Edna Goldin Campbell. Draketown; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Nellie Campbell of Draketown; grandsons, Phillip Michael Campbell and John Patrick Campbell of Draketown. Services will be Friday, May 23 at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Wendell Rush, Rev. Horace Wilson and Mr. Ricky Goldin officiating. Music will be furnished by Buddy Gentry. Shane Shadrix, Jerry Campbell, Courtney White, Corley Goldin, Clay Hamil, Keith Hitchcock, Danny Goldin and Shane Dryden will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky White, Bobby Goldin, Dwight Singleton, John 'Bo' Eaves, Donald Hamil, Billy McAdams, M. L. Leathers, Joel Goldin, Billy Ed Black, Jim Shadrix, Aaron Johnson and Walton Hitchcock. Interment will follow in Draketown Church Cemetery.
