Obituary

Patria Jumelles Lamar, 89, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025. She was born on April 1, 1936, in San Ignacio de Sabaneta, Dominican Republic, the daughter of the late Jose Encarnacion Jumelles and Maria Ignacia Lamar.

In her later years, she discovered a passion for painting and drawing, a natural talent that she was able to nurture and develop during her retirement. Beyond her work, she was a nurturing and devoted mother to her seven children, ensuring they were well cared for and instilling in them the values of hard work and compassion. Her love and commitment to her family defined her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona A. Almonte.

She is survived by her children: Anania A. Almonte, Maria I. Almonte, Jose M. Almonte, Jose I. Almonte, Jose R. Almonte, and Evangelina Almonte; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
