Mrs. Patricia Ann "Pat" Wood, age 75, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. Born on September 25, 1950, in Villa Rica, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Paschal Swafford and Irene Humphries Swafford.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was centered around the people she loved most. A graduate of Villa Rica High School, she enjoyed a longtime career with the Federal Reserve Bank, where she worked as a Banking Specialist until her retirement. Even after retiring, Pat continued serving others through her work in the administrative and payroll offices at Roopville Road Baptist Church, a place that meant so much to her.

More than anything, Pat loved her family. She shared a wonderful life with her husband, David Wood, and treasured the time spent with her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Matt House, and her beloved granddaughters, Ansley House and Arden House. She was also excited about the future as Arden prepared to marry Trey Ledford. Whether through quiet moments together, family gatherings, or simply offering encouragement and love, Pat made her family feel deeply cared for.

Pat also enjoyed traveling, especially the trips she and David took together throughout Europe. Those adventures created memories and stories that her family will always hold close.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steady kindness, and the way she made others feel welcomed and loved. Her presence brought comfort to those around her, and she leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Roopville Road Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bryant Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to Roopville Road Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Pat.
