Mr. Quinton L. Miles, age 85, of Beaver Pond Rd., Carrollton, Ga., passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007.He was born December 10, 1921 in Chambers County, AL., to the late Vera Hancock Miles and the late William Henry Miles. Mr. Miles was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and a member of the Bremen First Baptist Church. He was a retired educator and served as principal in Carroll, Catoosa and Haralson Counties, spending most of his career at Whitesburg and Mt. Zion schools. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Hollis Miles; his children and their spouses, Dennis Miles, Katharyn & Charles Echols and David & Donna Miles all of Carrollton; four grand children, Elise Eller, Michael Miles, Suzy Miles and Eli Miles; also five great grand children. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Dr. Bill Clinton and Rev. Herman Parker officiating. Music will be provided by Harold McWhorter and Dottie Cavender. Pall bearers will be Michael Miles, Eli Miles, Bret Eller, Henry Windom, Randy Bryson and Harold Hollis.
