Rebecca Geraldine Bentley, age 76, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her home. She was born September 8, 1947, daughter of the late Robert Eather and Ollie Christine Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Merle Smith.

Survivors include her husband, David Todd Bentley; children, Christy (Jared) Johnson of Mt. Zion, Shelby (Barry) Hackney of Carrollton, Brandi Bashir of Rockmart and Jenny (Mark) Smith of Georgetown, Ontario; sister, Darlene (Jimmy) Burnett of Powder Springs; and brothers, Junior Smith of Macon and Homer (Tula) Smith of Villa Rica; twelve grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 12:30 pm – 2:00 PM, both at the funeral home.

Services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home. Thomas Leggett, Jacob Johnson, Donavan Jackson, Zackary Hackney, Jeremy Shaw, Brandon Roberts and Shaun Leggett will serve as Pallbearers.
