Ricky Folsom of Buchanan passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019 in a Rome hospital. He was born in Buchanan, April 12, 1956, son of the late Arlin Folsom and Dorothy Smith Folsom. Mr. Folsom was employed by U. S. Can as a Scroll Shear Operator and was a member of Waco Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Dylan Pope; a great grandson, Gage Brinegar; step-father, Curtis Cheatwood; two brothers Buddy Folsom, Hershel Folsom and two sisters. Judy Parrish and Susie Kennington. Survivors include his wife, Sharon Aldridge Folsom of Buchanan; children, Ricky Lee and Lori Folsom of Tallapoosa, Joe and Hillary Folsom of Alexandria, AL, Chad and Kadie Folsom of Bremen and Eric and Courtney Morgan of Waco; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Folsom and Michelle Brooks of Buchanan and his dog, Murphy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Services will be Wednesday, August 7 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Hightower Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Bray and Reverend Van Brown officiating. Keith Parrish, Randy Folsom, Jay Turner, Kevin Haynes, Mike Parrish, Jonas Truett, Richard Holt and Jimmy Clay will serve as pallbearers.
