Robert "Dan" Daniel Henley, age 79, of Douglasville passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Dan was born in Douglasville, Georgia on October 11, 1939 to the late Robert Jefferson Henley and the late Elsie Fargason Henley.  Dan was a retired production manager with Trojan Battery Company. He loved to whistle and was known as "the whistler" and he loved singing to hymns and Elvis tunes. He loved piddling in his garage, fast cars, motorcycles and fishing.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family and serving others. Dan was a member of Faith Community Church in Douglasville, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kenneth Johnston.Dan is survived by his wife, Regina Maxwell Henley; daughters: Carol Williams and son-in-law, Barry, Angela Parker and son-in-law, Todd, Virginia Garrett and son-in-law, Mike, Dana Reagan and son-in-law, Ty; grandchildren: Corey Parker, Jared Williams and his wife, Hannah, Ethan Williams, Henley Micah Garrett, Abbey Clifton and her husband, Brett, Avery Parker and her finance`, Alex, Maggie Adair and her husband, Dakota, Ivy Underwood and her husband, Jared, Alana Reagan, Jace Garrett;  2 great granddaughters: Kynli and Kalli; 1 great grandson due in October; sister: Diane Johnston; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hightower's Memorial Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Jim Garrett and Dakota Adair officiating. Interment will follow the service in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
