Robert Michael Richie, age 71, of Carrollton passed away Monday, May 26, 2014. He was born May 17, 1943, in Townsville, Australia, to the late Frazier and Mary Richie. Robert "Bob" Richie married Josephine Garlejo, on June 6, 1965. Bob retired from a career in the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer in 1982 with 22 years of active duty. He was preceded in death by his father, Frazier Richie. He is survived by his mother, Mary Richie; his wife, Josephine Richie; brother and sister and spouses, John and Kathy Richie, Tim and Cathy Peterson ; children and spouse, Dale Richie, David and Sunday Richie; grandchildren, Megan Richie, Austin Richie, and Savannah Richie; nieces and nephew, Tracy Nichol, Michael Richie, Katie Fisher; great nieces and nephews, Ashley, Zach, Heather, and Walker Nichol, and Bailey, Ella, and Olivia Fisher. A Memorial Service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Friday, May 30th at 11 am. The family will receive friends at the church at 10 am before the mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be left for the surviving spouse should friends desire. Arrangements are being conducted by Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton.
