It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Edward Powell, a beloved husband and father who departed this life on December 20, 2025, at the age of 82. He was born on February 21, 1943, in Atlanta, Georgia.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda Shead Powell; daughters and sons-in-law, Missy & Chris Little, and Kim & Robert Smith; son, Robbie Powell; grandchildren, Parker Little, Sara Little, Drew & Katie Smith, Dillon & Zoe Smith, Davis Smith, Holden Powell, Parker Andel, and Gage Andel; a great-grandchild, Jax Smith; sisters, Barbara Spires and Joyce Simmons; and numerous nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Powell, and his mother, Nellie Powell.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Robert's life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM at West Georgia Memorial Park with Rev. Terry Marbut officiating.

Robert's life was marked by the love he shared with his family and friends, and his presence will be missed by all who knew him.
