Mr. Robert E. "Bob" Riddle, Sr., of Stewart Street, Carrollton, GA, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008. He was born November 18, 1924 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Bertie Hall Riddle and Richard C. Riddle. Mr. Riddle was the morning host for WGMI, Bremen Radio and had worked for the Florida Network Radio since the 1940's. He also had served his country during WWII as an Army Air Corps Veteran. On December 16, 1956, he was ordained as a Southern Baptist Minister and also was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Besides his parents, Mr. Riddle was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine G. Riddle and a son in law, Milton Wade. Survivors include his wife, Floy Kidd Riddle; children and their spouses, Karen Wade of Carrollton, Robert & Cindy Riddle of Wedowee, AL., Walter Riddle of Douglasville, Mark Riddle of Herndon, Va., Harveda & Virgil Moon of Marietta and Catherine & Wallace Hancock of Carrollton; grandchildren, Lee & Sarah Wade of Carrollton, Stephen W. & Jenny Riddle of Chelsea, AL., Christopher E. Riddle of Atlanta, Keith & Angie Hancock and Tonya Whaley all of Carrollton; also one great grandchild, Amy Ann Wade. Funeral services will be conducted, Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at 2:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Kerry Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Carrollton City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1965 Pleasant Hill Road, Carrollton, GA 30116, in honor & recognition of Bro.
