Mr. Ronald Eugene Simpson, of Mt. Zion, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on July 22, 1950, in Atlanta, Georgia, the son of the late Bernice 'Lively' Simpson and Newman Simpson. Besides his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his beloved son, Thomas Cacy Simpson.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Kelli Simpson of Mt. Zion; sons, Jonathon Cody Cole of Carrollton and Brandon Corey Simpson (Ashley) of Mt. Zion; daughter, Cady Ann Bollen of Mt. Ronald was known for his unwavering love for his family, his community, and his passions. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, perhaps the largest fan in the world, and a die-hard supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs. He loved the beach, particularly fishing in Horseshoe Beach, Florida, family trips to Sanibel, Florida, and he loved all music by The Beach Boys.
In his community of Mt. Zion, Ronald found great joy in coaching youth baseball, which he considered some of the best days of his life. He took immense pride in the accomplishments of his players and enjoyed shaping young lives through the sport.
Above all, Ronald's love for his grandchildren was boundless. He adored each of them with all his heart and found immense joy in spending time with them.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the service time. Bro. Timmy Roberts will officiate the service, and Cody Cole and Corey Simpson will deliver the eulogies.
