Ruby Lee Lambert, age 90, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019.  She was born in Douglasville, on July 26, 1928, the daughter of the late James Emanuel Rice and the late Bessie Williams Rice. Ruby retired from Kmart in Douglasville as a sales associate. She was a member of Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Ga. Ruby is survived by her children, Mary Wright and her husband, Perry, Cathy Williams and her husband, Keith; daughter-in-law: Kathy Turner; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister: Mary Nell Cheek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lambert; father of her children: Johnny F. Turner; son: Frankie Turner; brother: James Emanuel Rice, Jr. The family will receive friends at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville on Friday, May 17, 2019, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 4:00 in the chapel with Reverend Johnny Ivey officiating. Interment will follow at Douglasville City Cemetery.
