Mr. Russell Damien Smith, age 17, of Old Goshen Church Rd., Carrollton, Georgia passed away Monday, October 22, 2007, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born September 19, 1990 in Carroll County, Georgia, the son of Christine & Mardis Smith, Amy Mayes and Randal Mayes all of Carrollton . Russ was a junior at Central High School and a member of Providence Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Faye & Clint Folds and Monroe Smith. Besides his parents, he was survived by his sisters, Desarhea Mayes and Jasmine Mayes of Carrollton and a maternal grand mother, Ellen Smith of Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 25, 2007 at 4 PM from Glenloch Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Webb, Rev. Neil Awbrey and Mr. Terry Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Glenloch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 4 until 8 PM.
