Obituary

Ralph "Ryan" Robertson, 57, of Villa Rica, Georgia, passed away on May 25, 2025. He was born on August 25, 1967, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ryan grew up in the picturesque Fairplay Community, where he formed lasting friendships and made cherished memories. He graduated from Douglas County High School in 1986, a milestone that marked the beginning of his journey into adulthood. Ryan dedicated nearly a decade of his life to working as a security guard at the Southern Protection Agency. He took pride in ensuring the safety and well-being of others, but over time, his health began to decline, prompting him to reassess his career.

In his youth, Ryan was an avid sports fan and participant. He also had a deep passion for fishing, frequently spending serene afternoons by the water, where he found peace and joy in nature. Ryan's infectious laughter and fun-loving spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he will be fondly remembered for his zest for life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlene and Charles Pate.

He is survived by his children, Brooke Sessler and Tyler Robertson; grandchildren, Wesley Robertson, Logan Robertson, and Bodhi Sessler; sister, Andalee Eason; brother, Kevin Pate; aunt, Rhonda Cordell; nieces and nephews, Mallarie and Jason Chastain, Robert and Ashley Farris, and Alicia and Tonyo McKey; as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, Lily, Jace, Zane, Spencer, Lucy Jane, Waylon, and Walker.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Ryan's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Martin & Hightower Funeral Home. Rev. David Farris will officiate. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Church Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Jennings officiating the graveside service. Jeff Camp, Jacob Day, Phillip Farris, Robert Farris, Tommy Hendrix, and Spencer McKey will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service.
