Shaunda Delene Rivers, age 67, of Douglasville, Georgia passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2026. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 4, 1959, daughter of Doris (Grayson) Franklin and the late Jesse Wilson. Shaunda worked at Parsons Corporation as a Project Control Engineer. Her greatest joy was her family that she loved deeply.

Shaunda is survived by her mother, Doris (Grayson) Franklin; daughter, Anika Hobbs; grandchildren, Jaleah Hobbs, Jalesha Hobbs, Jerome Hobbs, Jr., Jeron Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Jirah Hobbs, Jeremiah Hobbs, Jariyah Hobbs, Jalani Hobbs, Jovie West; sisters, Carrie Burton, Bettrice Garrison, Arlena Burton; brothers, Jesse Wilson, Steven Wilson, Vernon Burton, Donald Poole; her two dogs, Bhengu and Pearl; and many dear friends.

Shaunda was preceded in death by her husband, Xavier Rivers; father, Jesse Wilson; brothers, Melvin Franklin, Ernest Poole.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Hightower's Memorial Chapel in Douglasville.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at Golden Memorial Church in Douglasville.
