Shawn Allen Boyd, age 46, of Douglasville, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020.  He was born in Kennesaw, Georgia on September 30,1974.  He was previously employed by Bankhead Enterprises where he worked as a welder for the railroad.  Shawn loved his family and spending time with them and especially his children, which were his pride and joy.  Shawn was the best son, brother, dad, granddaddy, and uncle that anyone could ask for.  He had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. Shawn loved learning and had an abundance of knowledge on all subjects.  He was loved by all and will be missed so much. Shawn is survived by his children: Amber Boyd and Jason Boyd; grandchildren: Jaiden Boyd and Ryan Boyd; mother and father: Teddy Allen Boyd and Mary O'Leary Boyd; brother: Scotty Boyd; sisters: Kim Youngblood and her husband, Tommy, Kristie Gibson and her husband, Chris, Karrie Green and her husband, David, Kiley Boyd; nieces: Lexie Smith and Chloe Gibson; nephews: Chris Youngblood and Jacob Green. A private Graveside  Service will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Mt. Harmony Memorial Gardens.
