Shirley Elizabeth Ward Causey, age 86, of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on October 22, 2026. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on October 11, 1940, daughter of the late Henry Grady Ward and the late Annie Mae Moore Ward.

She is survived by her husband: William Everett Causey; children: Robert Lowery, Deborah Prince (Howell Alexander), Sam Lowery, Candie Mitchell, Sandy Elrod, Denise Robertson, Michelle Busbin; grandchildren: Benjamin Lowery, Kimberly Lowery, Shirley Powell, Michael Prince, Joshua Lowery, James Alexander, Christina Williams, Christopher Alexander, Anthony Elrod, Stephanie Elrod, Sydney Durbin, Trisha McIntyre, Jessica Silvers, Brandi Kiser, Rachel Wilson; nineteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twenty-two siblings and son-in-law: Kenneth Mitchell.

The family will receive friends at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 26, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Miller officiating. James Alexander, David Silvers, Josh Williams, Jessie Wilson, Chris Alexander and Donald Kiser.

Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Garden.
