Sidney Swanger, 44, of Newborn Road, Buchanan passed away Sunday, August 12, 2007. He was born December 26, 1962 in Carroll County the son of Effie Huddleston Piorkowski and the late Hiram Thomas Swanger. He was employed by NCI in the Maintenance Department. Surviors include his wife, Glenda Blue Swanger of Buchanan; son, Jonathan David Swanger of Buchanan; mother, Effie Huddleston Piorkowski of Buchanan; two sisters, Diffie Roggow and Eddy Manner both of Cedartown. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Reverend FLoyd Hulfstetler and Reverend Buddy Gentry officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Woods Cemetery with John Fink, Ben Brewer, Kevin Lyons, Marlin Overholser, Eddie Gollahon and John Kirk serving as Pallbearers. Nick Gilley, Michael Butter, Kyle Tedders, Andy Farmer, Jonathan Manner and Justin Hawver serving as Honorary Pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen on Monday, August 13, 2007 from 4:30 pm until 8:00 pm.
